This great 80s tee is for a 1988 March of the Dimes WalkAmerica event. The March of Dimes is a nonprofit organization founded by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1938, and it was originally created in response to the polio epidemic. By the mid-60s, after the polio vaccine was invented, the charity changed their focus to preventing birth defects, and benefits like WalkAmerica were created to raise funds for research.
