This awesome band tee is for MDC, a punk band from Austin, Texas, famous for their political lyrics. While the meaning behind their acronymized name has differed over the years, most fans know MDC to stand for Millions of Dead Cops, which was also the title of the group's debut LP from 1982. This shirt celebrates an American tour that the band embarked on during the late 80s, although the graphic refers to the nation as "Amerikkka" in honor of the group's song "Deep in the Heart".
Throughout the 80s, MDC released music off their own independent label, R Radical Records, which was run by the group's lead singer, Dave Dictor. They were also a proud part of the Rock Against Reagan series of concerts, which also featured bands like Dead Kennedys, D.R.I., Crucifucks, and other Austin locals like The Dicks and Big Boys.
