This amazing raglan celebrates the landing of Atlantis 61-B. This NASA space shuttle mission was launched in November of 1985, and the crew landed at Edwards Air Force Base in California on December 3rd. This shirt includes the names of the seven person crew, which included Brewster Shaw Jr., Bryan O'Conner, Jerry Ross, Mary Cleave, Sherwood Spring, Charles Walker, and Rodolfo Neri Vela, the last of whom, was the first Mexican astronaut to ever travel to space.
For the 61-B mission, the Atlantis crew deployed three communications satellites, and they conducted two spacewalks, in which the astronauts demonstrated some assembly techniques that could be used for future space stations. As has become tradition, NASA played special wake up music for the astronauts during their mission. On the sixth and final flight day, the crew woke up to Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA".
