This awesome concert tee celebrates two shows that were performed during Rush's Permanent Waves Tour in 1980. This concert tour was launched by Rush to promote the band's studio album of the same name, and this shirt was made in honor of several dates that were played in Detroit, Michigan and Cleveland, Ohio, at the Joe Louis Arena and Richfield Coliseum respectively. For both of these cities, Rush was accompanied by fellow Canadian rock band, Max Webster.
Permanent Waves was Rush's seventh studio release, and it marked a stylistic shift from their progressive rock roots and towards a more radio friendly sound. This shirt features an image from the album's cover of Canadian model, Paula Turnbull, who also appeared on the cover of the band's live album Exit... Stage Left. Permanent Waves' cover also included the image of a man waving in the background, which turned out to be the sleeve designer, Juno Award-winning artist Hugh Syme.
Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. This shirt comes with an original ticket stub, a venue souvenir, and patches from the concert where the shirt was purchased, see pics.
