This incredible vintage raglan celebrates the seminal jam band, the Grateful Dead and it pays tribute to the band's first fourteen years together. The group that would become the Grateful Dead first began performing in 1965 under the name the Warlocks. They played throughout California, and in December of 1965, at one of Ken Kesey's Acid Tests, they played their first show as the Grateful Dead.

The Dead became central musical figures during the counter cultural movement of the 1960s. They became known for their improv-heavy sets, which changed with every live performance, and their ambivalence towards taping, two things which also resulted in the development of their intensely dedicated fanbase.

The front of this shirt shows off one of the band's most famous images, the skull and roses illustration that was used for the cover of their eponymous live album from 1971. The cover was created by frequent Grateful Dead collaborators, Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse, the same artists responsible for other famous album art like Journey's Evolution, Steve Miller Band's Greatest Hits 1974-78, and Styx's The Grand Illusion.

The tag says large but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult medium. There are some small spots, see pics
