This amazing vintage skate tee promotes arguably the most famous professional skateboarder of all time, Tony Hawk. This shirt is a rare find from the early days of Hawk's career in the 1980s. Tony Hawk became a professional skateboarder when he was only 14 years old and during his early days he was sponsored by the skateboarding company Powell Peralta. Hawk was a member of the legendary Bones Brigade, the skate team which rode under the Powell Peralta banner, and he performed in several of co-founder Steve Peralta's influential skate videos, including the iconic The Search for Animal Chin.

Skate videos like the ones produced by Peralta and the Bones Brigade, as well as publications like Thrasher Magazine were largely responsible for spurring the skateboarding fad of the 1980s and at the center of the scene was skaters like Hawk and his Bones Brigade peers Steve Caballero, Mike McGill, Tommy Guerrero, Lance Mountain, Rodney Mullen, Kevin Harris, and Alan Gelfand.

Throughout the 80s and 90s, Hawk dominated skateboard competitions and was named the top vertical skater in the country every year from 1984 to 1996. While Hawk helped to invent a handful of impressive tricks, he is best known for the one he landed in 1999 at X Games V. During that competition he famously landed a "900", a trick which requires a skater to land two and a half mid-air rotations. It was the last on Hawk's wishlist of dream tricks that he one day hoped to land.

Tony Hawk's legacy has also made him an iconic pop culture figure. He's made multiple film and television appearances including Jackass: The Movie, Rocket Power, Gleaming the Cube, and The New Guy. He also had an incredibly successful line of video games titled Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, which premiered the same year that he landed the "900".

Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. This shirt is faded with several holes on both sides, see pics.
