This amazing vintage punk shirt is from a live shooting at the Santa Monica Civic Center in 1980 for the 1982 British movie Urgh! A Music War. The movie is a collection of live performances of some of the most iconic and influential punk, new wave and post-punk bands of the late 70s and early 80s. This specific concert was billed as "The First Urgh!". The bands who performed live at The Santa Monica Civic Center on the first night August the 15th were Chelsea, the Dead Kennedys, X, and the Cramps. The following night featured the Dead Boys, Pere Ubu, the Members, Magazine, and Wall of Voodoo.

After filming in Santa Monica, director Derek Burbidge filmed live concerts in London, New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Frejus, France. The remaining bands that appeared in the movie included Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, The Go-Go's, Toyah Wilcox, The Fleshtones, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts,  XTC, Devo, Oingo Boingo, Gary Numan, Klaus Nomi, Steel Pulse, Surf Punks, 999, The Alley Cats, UB40, Echo & the Bunnymen, the Police, as well as several less famous acts.

A year before the release of the film A&M Records released a double-album soundtrack. Urgh! A Music War was briefly released in theaters and it gained a cult following in the United States because of its frequent showings on the USA Network. Some performance from the film were "We Got the Beat" by the Go-Gos, "Bad Reputation" by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, "Roxanne" by the Police, and "Uncontrollable Urge" by Devo.
