This sweet distressed ringer t-shirt display the iconic cartoon character Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse was co-created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1928. They created him to replace Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. He was originally named Mortimer Mouse before Disney's wife offered the name Mickey Mouse. The character was inspired by the characters of Charlie Chaplin and Douglas Fairbanks. 

In the 80s, Disney them parks were the recipient of major changes, including the opening of the Tokyo Disneyland and the opening of Epcot, as well as the unveiling of new attractions and pavilions throughout all of the parks. The Disney World and Disneyland parks were introduced to more advanced technology and attractions as well as being expanded to include new lands, such as The Living Seas, Pleasure Island, and new advanced features added to Tomorrowland. During this time period, Epcot started their famous Illuminations Nighttime Show as well.
