This incredible tee pays tribute to the crossover comics series, Aliens vs. Predator. This shirt features some awesome artwork of the comics' two titular adversaries, which was drawn by Chris Warner. Warner is often credited as being the first to suggest a comic featuring the two iconic extraterrestrials, and he pitched the idea after having previously illustrated several issues of Predator for Dark Horse Comics.
This shirt is copyright 1994, a few years after the original Aliens vs. Predator story was released. The franchise was continued through various limited series, which in 1994 included Aliens vs. Predator: Deadliest of the Species and Blood Time. During that time, 20th Century Fox was also attempting to adapt the concept for film. The 1990 movie Predator 2 had already alluded to the comics becoming part of the cinematic canon, as one scene showed a Predator in possession of a xenomorph skull trophy. However, the movie wound up in development hell for over a decade, before it was finally brought to theaters in 2004.
In the meantime, Aliens vs. Predator was adapted into a variety of other media. This included novelizations, board games, video games, and a line of action figures.
Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. There are multiple holes throughout, see pics.
