This awesome vintage tee is for the rap rock group the Beasties Boys and their chart topping album, Ill Communication. This 1994 album was released through their vanity label Grand Royal Records, and it was co-produced by the Beastie Boys and Mario Caldato Jr. This album saw the group continuing to experiment with their sound as they transitioned away from heavy sampling more towards utilizing live instrumentals.

Singles off the record included "Get It Together", "Sure Shot", and "Root Down", but the true standout track from the album was "Sabotage". This was largely thanks to the song's music video, which became an MTV favorite. The comical video was directed by future Jackass co-creator, Spike Jonze, and it was designed to be a parody of 1970s crime drama shows. Fans were delighted by the way the video showcased the band's outlandish sense of humor, and it was nominated for five different MTV Video Music Awards in 1994. Shockingly the video failed to take any wins home that year, but it did get its redemption several years later. In 2009 "Sabotage" was given a special honor as the "Best Video (That Should Have Won a Moonman)".
