The franchise actually originated as the Denver Larks in 1967, and they didn't become a part of the NBA until after the ABA-NBA merger in 1976. This shirt features caricatures of several former Nuggets players, including David Thompson, Bill Hanzlik, John Barnhill, Byron Beck, and Dan Issel. It also includes the team's former head coach, Doug Moe, who was also named the 19987-1988 NBA coach of the year.
