This amazing tee celebrates the thrilling drop tower ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and the back includes the haunting warning, "you can check-in but you can't check out". The ride made its debut in the summer of 1994 at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios, and when it was built, the tower set a new record for the tallest Disney World attraction at 199 feet.
After considering a variety of haunted attractions that never came to fruition, Disney Imagineers settled on a ride themed after Rod Serling's legendary anthology series The Twilight Zone. The ride was set in an abandoned 1930s-era hotel, and Disney felt it was important to incorporate Serling's classic narration into the experience. Unfortunately, Serling had died nearly two decades before the ride was developed. Thus open auditions were held, and Disney called in the widowed Carol Serling to help select the perfect candidate. In the end, Mark Silverman was hired to narrate the pre-show which explains the backstory of the ride, before guests are treated to a terrifying 130 foot drop.
Fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. The lightning on the front glows in the dark.
