This awesome all over print shirt proudly reps the Fighting Illini of the University of Illinois. The shirt sports the orange and blue colors, as well as a logo of the school's former mascot Chief Illiniwek, who was later retired in 2007. The Chief was first used as a symbol of the school in 1926, and he was intended to represent the indigenous Illiniwek tribes that the state of Illinois was named after. Meanwhile the Illini name has a history that goes back much farther. Less than a decade after the university was established in 1867, the school's weekly newspaper changed its name to The Illini.
