This awesome shirt celebrates the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., one of the leading figures of the civil rights movement. It also makes reference to his famous "I Have a Dream" speech that he delivered at the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. King was already a black church leader when he became active in the fight for civil rights, and he gained national attention by leading the Montgomery bus boycott in 1955.
Two years later he was elected the inaugural president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and he continued to organize a number of nonviolent protests in support of issues like voting rights, labor rights, and desegregation. King was later assassinated in 1968, but his legacy and beliefs live on to this day. This shirt supports the efforts King made to protect the rights of African Americans, by including the phrase "keeping the dream alive".
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There's some very light discoloration on the front, see pics.
