This cool tee is for a discontinued soda flavor from PepsiCo. The shirt advertises Pepsi Kona, a coffee flavored cola drink that was marketed to the US in 1996. While the beverage was discontinued by the following year, it marked Pepsi's first attempt at developing a morning drink. The company attempted to market the soda with a commercial featuring Tom Jones singing his hit song "It's Not Unusual". Consumers were also told to watch out for the Kona Hummer, which offered samples of the new drink. However despite these efforts, the ready-to-drink coffee beverage just didn't catch the attention of the 90s crowd.
