This cool double-sided t-shirt was made to promote Syncor, a radiopharmaceutical company that used to be based out of Chatsworth, California. This shirt advertises PET, or positron emission tomography, a medical imaging technique that's used in nuclear medicine. Used in both cardiology and neurology, this shirt cleverly demonstrates how PET can be used to "read your mind" "or tell if you have a broken heart".
This shirt is copyright 1991, the same year that R. Raylman first proposed combining PET with CT scanners. Syncor was a major advocate for PET in the 90s, and they made efforts to significantly increase their PET radioisotope distributions centers by the end of the decade.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There is a small hole on the right shoulder when wearing, see pics.
