This vintage tee features the National League of Families POW/MIA flag. The flag was adopted in 1972 and is flown alongside the U.S. flag at many federal properties.

POW/MIA stands for prisoners of war and missing in action and is a symbol for the grief Americans' have for all POW and MIA soldiers. The flag was created due to the massive number of missing and imprisoned soldiers lost during the Vietnam War. In 1989 the flag was installed at the U.S. Capitol rotunda as a result of legislation passed by the 100th Congress. The flag displays the silhouette of a prisoner, a guard tower, and barbed wire along with the promise "You Are Not Forgotten".
