This sweet double sided shirt pays tribute to the Southern California punk band Rancid, and it features a graphic that was used for their unofficial compilation album, Give 'Em the Boot. Rancid was first formed in 1991, by two former members of the band Operation Ivy, Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman. Often credited as one of the groups that helped bring punk into the mainstream during the 90s, Rancid released their self-titled debut album in 1993. It was released through Epitaph Records, which was the label owned by Bad Religion's Brett Gurewitz.

It was Rancid's second album however that really put them on the map. After they released 1994's Let's Go, Rancid joined their label-mates the Offspring on the promotional tour for their hit album Smash. This successfully boosted the band's popularity, and their next album ...And Out Come the Wolves managed to peak at No. 45 on the Billboard chart. It was this third album that featured the popular single "Roots Radicals", which included the lyrics that inspired the title of the compilation album, Give 'Em the Boot.
