This awesome vintage tee showcases the titular character of Neil Gaiman's Sandman series of comic books. This shirt features an illustration from issue 50, titled Ramadan, and it depicts Dream, one of the seven cosmic beings known as the Endless. Issue 50 was released  after the comic was placed under DC Comics' imprint, Vertigo, which was developed for stories featuring adult content that otherwise didn't fit within the restrictions of DC's main library.

Ramadan was a standalone story set in Baghdad, and the comic was praised not only for Gaiman's expert storytelling, but the gorgeous illustrations provided by P. Craig Russell. This was the first time that Russell provided interior art for the Sandman series, but he would later go on to draw the graphic novel adaptation for another of Gaiman's most famous works, the haunting children's novella Coraline. In addition, Russell also made history as one of the first mainstream comic artists to come out as openly gay.
