This awesome shirt celebrates Todd McFarlane's Spawn, the Emmy award-winning animated adaptation of the Spawn comic books series from Image Comics. McFarlane created Spawn in the early 90s, and the titular superhero was a former CIA operative who gets sent to hell and tasked with protecting humanity with his newly granted hellspawn powers. The animated series aired on HBO from 1997 to 1999. Aside from being loved by audiences and critics alike, Spawn marked one of the first times that a black superhero was granted their own television show to star in.

The series featured the incomparable Keith David, star of cult classics The Thing and They Live, as the voice of Al Simmons/Spawn. The series' voice cast also featured John Rafter Lee as Jason Wynn. Rafter was known at the time for lending his voice to other iconic animations from the era, including Aeon Flux and Vampire Hunter D.

Fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. There is a bleach spot on the right sleeve when wearing, see pics.
