This amazing tee celebrates the iconic operatic trio the Three Tenors. This shirt commemorates a televised concert that the trio performed at Dodger Stadium on July 16th, 1994. The concert was broadcast prior to the World Cup final and was estimated to have attracted more than a billion viewers from all across the globe. This made it one of the most-watched performances in classical music history. The Tenors' first ever performance had been stageed four years earlier for the 1990 FIFA World Cup, and they would continue to give two more World Cup concerts after 1994.
This shirt features portraits of the Three Tenors, which includes Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, and Jose Carreras. It also features a portrait of Zubin Mehta, the world renowned conductor who conducted the Los Angeles Philharmonic for the event. Mehta was the same conductor that performed with the Tenors during their debut performance in Rome, and he also conducted for them for a benefit concert at the Opera de Monte-Carlo.
