This incredible tee is for the 1999 western comedy Wild Wild West, and it showcases one of the movie's stars, Will Smith in the role of Jim West. The movie was based on the 1960s television series of the same name, which was a western spy series that is often credited as being an early influence on the steampunk genre. The cast also featured up-and-coming actress Salma Hayek, and the award-winning actors Kevin Kline and Kenneth Branagh, but despite this the movie was a notorious critical and commercial flop.

Wild Wild West wound up winning a whopping five Razzies at the 2000 Golden Raspberry Awards, including the not so coveted Worst Picture, but the movie still holds a lot of nostalgia for kids of the late 90s. A portion of its infamous stinker status can likely be attributed to the discrepancy between its expensive budget and its box office return, but fans of the original series were also disappointed by the changes that were made for the movie. Although Will Smith regrettably turned down the role of Neo in The Matrix to star in Wild Wild West, the movie did earn him a gold record, and a Grammy nomination for the film's titular theme song.
