This sweet vintage concert t-shirt comes from a show at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, Texas on October 20th 1990. The concert was performed by the popular Texas based rock band, ZZ Top, and this shirt features a portrait of the band members Frank Beard, Billy Gibbons, and Dusty Hill, the latter of which are sporting their iconic matching hats and lengthy beards. ZZ Top's career spans over five decades, and the group holds the record for the longest-running unchanged lineup in musical history, with all three founding members remaining in the group right up until Hill's death in 2021.
In the early 90s, ZZ Top released their tenth studio album and their final one under their contract with Warner Records. The album, titled Recycler, was the final installment in the trilogy of more synthesizer heavy releases that the band began producing in the 80s. After that, the group returned to their bluesy, more guitar-laden roots. Recycler was released a mere four days before the concert commemorated on this shirt, and the band did play a few selections off the album including "2000 Blues" and "Give It Up". The Cotton Bowl concert also featured two other notable acts, Santana and Steve Miller Band.
