Football season is upon us. Whether that inspires a cheer ... or a groan ... I thought we'd celebrate opening week of the 2015 season with this rare and fantastically optimistic t-shirt:
Now, Super Bowl XV was a game between AFC champion Oakland Raiders and the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles to decide the NFL champion for the 1980 season. The game was played at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans on January 25, 1981, five days after the Iran hostage crisis ended. The game was thus held under patriotic fervor, as the pregame ceremonies honored the end of the crisis.
Though the Eagles didn't win their first shot at the big trophy in 1981, loyal fans of the Birds (and other teams, alike) keep tuning in and flocking to stadiums hoping that this is their year.
So, root on your favorite team in authentic vintage football t-shirts from The Captain's Vintage. We have an incredible collection of shirts from the 70s, 80s and 90s in a variety of teams and sizes and we're always adding more! We can't guarantee that wearing our shirts will get your team a win, but we can guarantee you'll look good cheering them on.
