This double-sided t-shirt dates all the way back to the 1960s, and it features a humorous slogan for the sail making brand Hard Sails, who first started operating back in 1937. The back of the shirt has the Hard Sails logo, while the front includes the cheeky double entendre, "Sail With a Hard On".

T-shirts with this clever slogan were a popular piece of merch spotted around marinas in the 1970s. The concept for the shirt was conceived by Wally Ross, who served as the president of Hard Sails and Seaboard Marine from 1954 to 1974, and his assistant Dick Curry. The pair starting peddling the tees during Cowes Week, when many sailmakers would set up temporary shops for sailors at the regatta to have their racing sails re-cut or repaired. Hard Sails thought these funny graphic tees would be a humorous addition to their services, and many yacht enthusiasts remember seeing them worn during the early days of the Admiral's Cup in Cowes.

Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. This shirt is distressed with discoloration throughout, see pics.
