This vintage tee commemorates the 1978 NHRA US Nationals in Indianapolis, IN. It's completely unworn since the 1970s and finally ready for some loving. Features a hundred percent cotton, old school hot rod graphics, and a classic 70s era box tag.

1978 was the 24th edition of the US National drag race, held at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Most memorably, it was an emotional one. First place winner of NHRA Funny Car Tom "The Mongoose" McEwen entered this race with a heavy heart, having lost his 14 year old son to leukemia the week prior. His situation captured the soft spots of many fans, and made the victory that much sweeter.

Tag says large but this shirt fits like a modern adult unisex small. Deadstock, unworn, very light spots on the collar, see pics.
