This great vintage tee is a keepsake from a short-lived resort called Spyglass Hill on the Honduran island of Roatan. The small island is known for being situated on top of an ancient coral reef and for all of its scuba diving opportunities. Spyglass Hill opened sometime in the 70s but eventually had to close because there was no feasible way to move guests to and from the resort. Roads were built on the island and its since become a popular destination, although there are environmental concerns. Roatan sits near the bottom of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world, and the island has a very delicate ecosystem.
