This short sleeve t-shirt is from the 70s claymation cartoon Mr. Bill which aired on SNL from 1976 through to the early 80s. Mr. Bill is a figurine clown made of clay, and is of a parody of children's shows. He was created by Walter Williams. Mr. Bill got its first start on Saturday Night Live (Season 1, Episode 15) as a Super 8 film submission. In 1978, Walter Williams became a full-time writer for SNL, writing over 20 sketches based on Mr. Bill.
