This funny vintage souvenir is from the historic Pat O'Briens bar in New Orleans. The celebrated Louisiana establishment first legally began selling liquor in 1933, but prior to that it sold alcohol during the Prohibition era under the guise of Mr. O'Brien's Club Tipperary. Patron's could utter the password "storm's brewin" to gain access. The bar is also reported to be the birthplace of the hurricane cocktail. Supposedly the sweet concoction was invented in the 1940s as a way for O'Briens to deplete some of their overflowing rum surplus. O'Briens is also know for its flaming fountain and piano bar featuring "dueling pianos".
