This vintage college tee is for West Virginia University in Morgantown, the home of the Mountaineers. The school participates in NCAA division I sports and they have been members of the Big 12 Conference since 2012. The official mascot of the school, the West Virginia Mountaineer, is a university student who is specially selected to don a buckskin costume and appear at major sporting and school events. The Mountaineer is chosen by a special selection committee, and that student is then granted a tuition waiver or scholarship in exchange for their service.
