This vintage sweatshirt features a logo for WILI-FM also known as i-98.3. The station broadcasts top 40 hits to the village of Willimantic, Connecticut. It is also the sister station of WILI/1400 with both stations' studios being located near the Willimantic footbridge. The station was originally founded under a different call sign in the 1970s and was at one point WNOU, however the Nou 98, as it was called was shut down because of mismanagement and lack of funding in 1985. Before it was shut down, radio personalities Ray Pender and Mark Virdone went on air begging investors to purchase the station during what was dubbed "98gate". They were forcibly taken off-air and the station was shut down later that day. After that, it was purchased by Nutmeg Broadcasting Co. and the call letters were changed to WILI-FM.
