This vintage sweatshirt features a humorous parody of the Air Jordan "Jumpman" logo that was used to advertise Nike's famous line of sneakers. The Air Jordan was created specially for its namesake, NBA superstar Michael Jordan, however this sweatshirt instead promotes "Air Wimpy" and showcases the Popeye the Sailor Man character in place of the basketball star.

J. Wellington Wimpy, better known simply as Wimpy, was one of several beloved characters to emerge out of the Popeye comic strips created by E.C. Segar. Wimpy also appeared in the cartoon series based off the comics, that was created by Fleischer Studios. He is best remembered for his lazy personality and love of hamburgers.
