This sweet t-shirt promotes the 1991 action thriller, Backdraft and features the same epic graphic used for the theatrical poster. The movie starred Kurt Russell and William Baldwin as a pair of firefighting brothers, and it also featured Robert De Niro, Donald Sutherland, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. In the movie, the Chicago fire department must hunt down a serial arsonist, so to prepare for the film the main actors all attended the Chicago Fire Academy with the intention of learning how to better portray firefighters. They also went on actual calls with the Chicago Fire Department.

Backdraft was nominated for several Academy Awards, which praised the movie's sound and visual effects. Although it wound up losing all of these nominations to the blockbuster sequel Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Still the positive response inspired the Universal Studios theme park in Hollywood to open a special effects attraction based off the film.
