This rad half-shirt was made sometime in the 1990s by LA Gear, an athletic shoe brand. In the early 90s, LA Gear was the third most popular athletic shoe brand behind Reebok and Nike. NBA star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was sponsored by LA Gear, after leaving his deal with Adidas. Other athletes who had LA Gear endorsement deals include Wayne Gretzky, Karl Malone, and Joe Montana. LA Gear had celebrity endorsers too, most famously striking a deal with Michael Jackson and Paula Abdul.
