The album produced multiple popular singles and it also earned Kravitz the first of four consecutive Grammy Awards for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. Some of the notable tracks off the album included "Fly Away", and a cover of the Guess Who's "American Woman, which was used for the soundtrack of Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
