This vintage college sweatshirt is for the University of Louisville in Kentucky, home of the Louisville Cardinals. The black sweatshirt has the name Louisville proudly embroidered across it in bold red lettering. U of L was first founded back in 1798, and at the time it was the first city-owned public university in the United States. The Louisville Cardinals participate in NCAA Division I sports and they became members of the Atlantic Coast Conference in the early 2010s. They are known for their men's basketball team, who have appeared in the Final Four of the NCAA Championship Tournament nine times.
