This amazing tee celebrates the band Jane's Addiction and it was made for the promotional tour for their second studio album, Ritual de lo Habitual. This also wound up being the band's farewell tour, which they staged in conjunction with the first ever Lollapalooza. Jane's Addiction was formed in the mid 80s, by Perry Farrell and Eric Avery. They were joined by Stephen Perkins and Dave Navarro, and the group found early success with their debut studio album, Nothing's Shocking. However, tensions quickly began to rise.
The band had already run into conflicts during the recording sessions for Nothing's Shocking. Farrell's bandmates were stunned when he demanded to receive more than 50% of their publishing royalties, and a further rift developed in the wake of Avery's newfound sobriety. While Farrell and Perkins chose to regularly partake in drugs during the Ritual Tour, Avery and Navarro attempted to abstain, and even physically separated themselves to avoid temptation.
By the end of the tour, the band was beyond repair and they officially broke up by the end of 1991. Despite all this, Ritual de lo Habitual was still a top 20 hit that later went double platinum. Another positive development was Lollapalooza, as Farell's original concept went on to become the nation's premiere alternative music festival.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. This shirt is thinning with some small holes, see pics.
