This vintage tee commemorates a very bittersweet day for Piedmont Airlines- August 4, 1989 their final flight before merging with USAir. It's held up very well over the years and has a ton of life left. Features old school graphics, soft poly cotton, and a classic Screen Stars tag.
Piedmont's history dates back to 1948 when it was purchased by Thomas Henry David in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Prior to his ownership it was known as Camel City Flying. The company's fleet consisted of several Boeing 727's, a Douglas DC-3, and some Fairchild's to name a few. The airline had a successful run from 1948-1989 when it was acquired by USAir.
