This vintage tee is an original keepsake from a Wild Knights concert circa 1989. They jammed at an event dubbed Fun Under the Sun hosted at Terrapin Station, a head shop in Buffalo, New York. Features an amazing cotton feel, old school graphics, and the classic 1980s era Fruit of the Loom tag. It's held up nicely over the years and has lots of life left in it.
Wild Knights are a tribute band founded in 1982, and quickly became a local favorite. They packed the house across numerous venues in and around the Buffalo, NY area between the 80s and early 90s. Fans would fill clubs like The Tralf, Nietzsche's, and The Country Club Skyroom to hear the Wild Knight's amazing renditions of jam band legends like The Grateful Dead, The Band, and The Allman Brothers.
Mike Bellman, Dave Rush, Corey Kertzie, and Joe Bellanti reunited in 2018 for a fun gig and were surprised to find that they were still very much adored by locals.The reunion gig at Sportsmen's Tavern completely sold out, and Wild Knights went on to book a more gigs at larger venues like the Town Ballroom. Their legacy continue to live on through their ever loyal fan base, amazing performances, and sweet memorabilia like this vintage tee.
