This sweet double-sided shirt is for the British science fiction franchise Red Dwarf, created by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor. The franchise kicked off with a television sitcom which aired on BBC Two from 1988 to 1999. The series followed a technician named Dave Lister, played by Craig Charles, who wakes from suspended animation three million years in the future. He discovers he is the last living human on board the mining spacecraft Red Dwarf. Other characters aboard the ship were the hologram Arnold Rimmer portrayed by Chris Barrie and the humanoid creature Cat played by Danny John-Jules.

This shirt references the storyline "Better Than Life" which was introduced in the second episode of the show's second series. The plot was later developed and expanded on in the novel Better Than Life written by the show's creators. The storyline centered around the Red Dwarf crew immersing themselves in a virtual reality video game called "Better Than Life". The game is designed to allow the players to live out their greatest fantasy's although the characters quickly learn it has several bugs. The back of this shirt describes "Better Than Life" saying, "It's the ideal game with only one drawback- It's so good, it will kill you."
